We have finally found a DOT approved line of electric scooters with very powerful motors from 1500 watts to 3000 watts. We are seeking serious dealer applicants. It is quite obvious that with the ever rising fuel costs that many of the buying public will be seeking alternate means of transportation.
We want dealers who are willing to stock inventory and parts, and will repair the scooters as necessary, because that is what your potential customers are going to expect. We will require photos of your business store and workshop operation.
This is a very "Green Business" opportunity, and serious potential dealers should contact me for more information, and a video clip, or see it at the ChinaDepot site on www.youtube.com . Search for Chinadepot to see all of our videos.
See photos and specifications on our web site. http://www.chinadepot.com/electric-scooters.html
This could be your big chance!
Thanks,
Walt

Are Your Eyes All Glazed Over? by Walt Barrett
Hi:
If the previous post has your eyes all glazed over, I don't blame you, so are mine! That's why I wrote the blog. After a while, you just get tired of the ration of "crap," excuse my English, that these greedy major corporations try to hand us. Don't ever do business like that!
In the spirit of a movie I once enjoyed, I'm fed up, and I'm not going to take it anymore! There are too may people looking for my business, what about yours? The world is not a bottomless pit of customers. Go where you are appreciated. That is what your customers will do. Treat them like you want to be treated.
Treat them right if you want to keep them!
Thanks,
Walt

How Not To Treat Your Customers, We Want Action -- Not Lip Service. by Walt Barrett
Don't run your business like this one below, and do be readily accessible to your customers. Don't be a nameless, faceless person hiding behind your web site. I'm getting fed up with it. My name, address and phone number are on our web sites. I have nothing to hide or escape from.
Please read about our problem below with a major web provider.
We have been writing to AOL for months regarding the placement of flashing banners, and other ads on our paid e-mail service pages where we have to read mail and respond. They are very distracting and annoying! We have received nothing but lip service from AOL. All we get is canned messages and suggestions like using a third party e-mail service. There are many features about AOL that I like to use, or I would drop the service altogether. If they don't solve our problem soon we will drop them anyway!
I am telling you all this because it is an excellent example of how to lose customers. Also, personally, I am going to boycott every single advertiser that appears on my private e-mail pages.
I also want to know if AOL is sending our information from my computers to third parties. There is a person on the Internet making this claim.
The moral to my story here is that if you want to keep your customers you have to give them More than lip service and canned messages on auto responders! See the boring details below and also the tecnobabble instructions if you can stand it!!! The responses are so pathetic they are almost humorous. I may even send them to Jay Leno. We want action, not lip service

Good morning Dove:
Thank you for responding to my complaint. We realize that certain parts of AOL have to have advertising on it. However, we are a business, and the flashing ads on our incoming and outgoing email are a total distraction to our employees. They also take up considerable screen space when we are trying to read our mail.
We are a paying customer and feel that there is no reason (other than pure greed) for you to place flashing or other banner advertising on our private mail pages.
I am tired of complaining, and your policy on this subject makes your company look very greedy and unconcerned about the businesses that are using your service. AOL is obviously ignoring our complaints. We should not have to reconfigure anything. Please stop advertising on our private e-mail pages that we are paying for.
We have filed a complaint with the FTC and our Congressional Delegation, and we advising everyone we can contact to boycott the businesses that are advertising on what should be our private space until you stop. We have also contacted the consumer protection people at the major networks.
We not going to put up with it any more,
Walt Barrett

Dear Cassie:
Will the use of the open ride software eliminate the flashing banner ads that are on the emails at the bottom that is distracting our employees? We pay for our AOL service and we do not want flashing ads on our email boxes.
We have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission as AOl has repeatedly ignored our request to remove these ads from our paid email services. We are speaking of the large banner ads at the bottom of the email forms both in and outgoing. If we wanted ads we would use free email. We don't want these ads.
Thank you,

Dear WBarrett1,
Due to a maintenance that we had with our system, the time it took to respond to your e-mail has been delayed. Nevertheless, I appreciate your patience and hope you find my e-mail informative and helpful.I understand you have concerns about the free services that AOL offers appearing at the bottom part of your outgoing e-mail.I would like to thank you for bringing up this issue to our attention. The short message that is now included at the bottom of your emails is a reminder of AOL's free services, including AOL email. We considered the addition of this message very carefully, just as we will consider your feedback. We highly value what our members have to say. We use feedback like this to make improvement to the service. Many of the changes made throughout the years have been the result of ideas offered to us by members just like you.On the other hand, I have also provided a couple of alternatives. Check to see if they work for you. A. Use AOL OpenRideAOL OpenRide e-mail application does not include the e-mail footer that the AOL 9.0 software and below version now have. This software offers a breakthrough, all-in-one design with a 4-pane user interface that eliminates the need to jump from one window to another. Everything you need online is right there in front of you the moment you need it -- saving you time and effort online. For more information about AOL OpenRide, visit AOL Keyword: OpenRide On the Internet, go to: http://free.aol.com/thenewaol/openride
To download and install the AOL OpenRide software, simply click the DOWNLOAD OPENRIDE NOW button, then follow the onscreen prompts. B. Use other e-mail applications with AOL's Open Mail AccessAnother way to prevent the AOL advertisements in your outgoing e-mails is through the use of a third party e-mail program. You can send and receive your AOL e-mail using any e-mail program, as long as it supports the IMAP protocol. You get all the great features AOL e-mail has to offer, and the flexibility to read and send e-mail via a third-party e-mail client. The incoming e-mail server is an IMAP server. You will need to ensure that your e-mail application supports the IMAP protocol and will have to select IMAP at some point during the setup process. The outgoing e-mail server is an SMTP server. The SMTP server requires authentication, and you will have to select this feature at some point during the setup process. Using an authenticated SMTP server means that in order to send e-mail you must log in the SMTP server with a user name and password. The user name and password are the same as your AOL screen name and password. Setting up access to the AOL Mail servers is relatively simple, and the settings are similar for most e-mail applications. The basic information that you need is as follows: Your e-mail address is member@aol.com. Be sure to include @aol.com suffix. The Incoming mail (IMAP) server address is: imap.aol.com The Outgoing mail (SMTP) server address is: smtp.aol.com In addition, you need to change the outgoing mail (SMTP) port number to 587. For step-by-step instructions about setting up many popular e-mail applications, please go to AOL Keyword: Open Mail Access. If you need more assistance configuring your e-mail software, check the program Help files or visit the Manufacturer's Web site. You should be able to find the assistance you needThank you for your patience and understanding.

Do You Want To Own A Green Business? by Walt Barrett
I have been involved in the alternate energy business for about forty years. Now it is more fashionable to call them Green Businesses. Over the past forty years I have managed to accumulate many contacts and a considerable amount of knowledge. We have access to just about any kind of Green Energy product that you could ever imagine. The point of this exercise is that we are seeking people whom are seriously interested in having a green business of their own. It can be either a part time or full time operation. If you or one of your Friends is looking for a fresh start in a new business, we will be happy to quote you on any product.
Some examples of products we can supply are solar hot water and solar heating systems, Water source heat pumps for heating pools, homes, and air conditioning, windmills, water turbines, LED lighting systems, bio fuel system components, and total solar micro homes. I'm sure I left something out, but you get the picture.
Please contact me if you are interested. You may not get rich overnight, but it's a great investment, and it's great for the climate and saving energy. We need some Green Energy pioneers to boot up the green businesses and make a difference. Please pass this around to your friends if you are not interested yourself.
Thanks,
Walt

A better way to advertise your products by Walt Barrett
As many of you may already know, we own a very well known web site www.chinadepot.com which is a division of the parent company A to Z Global Marketing Inc. We are currently experimenting with a new approach (for us) of marketing our web site and products. Basically the idea is this. We are uploading some short video clips that are free to download. Some of them will be DIY like our battery reconditioning video, some will be Nature and Wild Life, and hopefully some will be educational. We are also going to offer this type of advertising to other companies that may not be able to produce their own. The idea is working for us, and some of the products we are selling have doubled in sales since we went video. Each clip we produce has a very short graphic at the beginning, and the end of the clip with no blaring sound tracks etc. They are Tranquil Ads (my idea) We are calling the new division www.tranquil-ads.com . I expect it will be a long haul to make a success from the outside adverting sales to other companies, but internally, for our own products that we have posted to www.youtube.com , the sales of those products have doubled. Those products are The UnCapper bottle opener, and the Battery reconditioning business. Our web site traffic has also increased. We are listed on www.youtube.com by searching "chinadepot." Watch for some great new content coming up soon including free video greeting cards, and rest assured there will be no smut or objectionable news coverage on any of our clips, and they will be suitable for children too. We are wide open to ideas and suggestions. We produce all clips in our own studio and in the field. It's a lot of fun too!
Thanks,
Walt

Walt

My blog starts here. WB
I do not normally go after anyone in spite of the fact that a great many of the antics pulled by both business and government really make me angry. I do not enjoy making trouble. But in the aftermath of the horrible shootings at Virginia Tech, and the loss of a bright young man from my own home town of Lincoln, Rhode Island, as well as many other bright young adults. I am absolutely Furious with the news coverage. News is a business, make no mistake about it. These people make millions of dollars from other people's misfortune. When there is a terrible tragedy they are there feasting over the dead bodies of the hapless victims. We see then in Iraq, meddling in our affairs, and every time one of them is injured he or she has to be attended to. I often wonder how many injured troops have to wait while the medics attend to a wounded reporter. They (reporters) have to be a major distraction.
The networks are no longer satisfied with reporting the news, they are also trying to affect the policies of our government. We already have enough meddlers in the government, and they do not need any "help" from the meddlers in the press.
Now the press is all over the campus at Virgina Tech. They are milking the tragedy for all it is worth. I think it is disgusting! Every year from now until eternity they will drag out the video tapes and remind all of the families of all those victims of the grievous losses they have suffered on the anniversary of the tragedy.
These are the people that for money, in spite of their endless protests to the opposite, will walk up to a grieving parent the very day that they just found out a son or daughter has been blown to bits, and ask that parent, in so many words, "How does it feel to have a child blown to bits? Then, when challenged, they will say they were only doing a "public service!"
I am extremely angry with NBC for their handling of the evidence they received in the mail regarding the terrible tragedy at Virginia Tech. I would like to make a point that such tragedies should not be viewed as "profit centers." The parents and other survivors of these terrible incidents do not deserve to have their privacy invaded by ignorant money grubbing, senseless news reporters hiding under the guise of "We are just doing a public service."
Do they think we are all ghouls waiting to feast on the bodies? Is that what the networks think of us? They will tell us that we can just turn the dial if we don't like what we see. Turn the dial to what, more of the same? It's all about the money folks. The rest is all chroma key and mirrors! It's money, money, money. I would like to use some profanity here, but I won't even though it is my constitutional right, I'm not going to hide behind it like the press often does. Freedom of the press should not meant freedom to invade other people's privacy, or poison their children's minds either by the way.
I have copied a letter below that I sent to NBC last evening. There are many people that will disagree with me, and that is their right, just as mine is to voice my opinion. If you agree with me please forward this blog to your friends. It's time we put the TV news in its place!
Personally, I intend to boycott as many of the sponsors of these programs as possible. Money talks in the TV News "business."
To the NBC News Department:
Well you really went and did it this time. I'm a 74 year old businessman from Rhode Island, and I have watched NBC News since the very beginning on TV. I would like to know what you were thinking of, other than the money, of course, when you took it upon yourselves to copy and publish what was obviously very important evidence in this terrible tragedy, again, other than profits. You certainly weren't thinking about the families of the victims who will have to watch the news loops for the next thirty years. You certainly were not thinking about all of the other sick people that are going to feed off this, and you know they will copy this guy. And, you certainly weren't thinking about the rest of the students, and faculty at Virginia Tech. What you were thinking about was the bottom line and, the big score you just made by being the lucky recipient of the information sent to you by that pathetic maniac. Personally, I do not think that morally, and possibly not legally, that you had the right to copy and release that evidence. You make Don Imus look like a saint compared to your antics! ( I notice it took you a week to drop that profit center. Nothing like watching the polls.) You managed to get Imus right of the front page. I don't care for him either, but he's going to have the last laugh on you "people." Your stunt was one of the most greedy and unprofessional acts I have ever seen in the business.
To add insult to injury, you have flooded the campus with reporters, and you are literally wallowing in this terrible tragedy!
When I was a young man I actually wanted to be a reporter some day. Well thank God I passed on that career!
You are a business, and you are all about money and profits. You are ruled by the bottom line.
I'm not sure I will ever be able to watch your network again! You are all just in it for the money. Be honest, you were not thinking of the victims, or the families. It was just another great opportunity to make money, blood money! And you are passing it off as a public service! Do you also have any used cars you can sell us?
Just because your PAID EX FBI consultant stood up on the Today Show this morning and said it was OK does not let you off the hook! What a bunch of hypocrites! You are not fooling anyone! When will you be coming out with the movie?
Shame on you.
I'm finished with all of you now.

The parents and other survivors of these terrible incidents do not deserve to have their privacy invaded by ignorant money grubbing, senseless news reporters hiding under the guise of "We are just doing a public service."

Additional Freight Charges
Hi:
Some of our shippers have increased their shipping charges due to higher fuel costs and other operating costs. In most cases the increases are minor.
Thanks,
Walt

I've been very busy by Walt Barrett
Well I've been very busy for the past month or so, and I still am. That's a good thing! The latest news is that since we lowered the prices on the solar products the sales are taking off. Solar water pump sales are up. Tractor and generator sales are up, and all of the products on our EBay store are selling steadily.
We have just started a new division producing video ads for the Internet. We hope to get some new business in that area. We have used video on our own sites for eight years. It always worked well for us. Since we posted our battery rebuilding video and our UnCapper video on youtube.com the sales of these products have doubled. We hope to convince other companies to let us produce videos for their products. My advice to you is to look into the video advertising business. We are looking to recruit associates in the very near future. We are trying to sort out what would be fair rates for our commercial film clips ready to publish, and published.
Interested parties should contact me at info@chinadepot.com .
I am also writing a SciFi movie script for a very good friend in Hollywood. So far it is going well.
My Youngest son John Barrett has taken over the daily operations of ChinaDepot.Com while I focus more on expanding our other business activities. We have Changed the name of our Corporation to A to Z Global Marketing Inc because we are no longer just involved with doing business in China.
Keep your eye on the Internet video business, and the green energy businesses. they are looking better all the time.
