Preparing for and Surviving Natural Disasters by Walt Barrett

I have decided to do a series of short pieces about surviving natural disasters. I'll keep them short so you won't get bored.  I'm not trying to frighten anyone, but it seems that we have been having more than our share of natural disasters in the world lately.  We seem to be in some kind of a cycle.  I think that we should all take steps to prepare for bad storms and earth quakes etc.  I'm not basing my suggestions on superstition, but just on the hard facts.  It doesn't cost a fortune to put aside a stash of water that you can bottle yourself for instance, or some kind of food supplies that do not require refrigeration etc.  Home security will also be much more important if those hard times ever do come.     Again, if you live in a cold climate you better find some alternate ways to heat your home.  The heating projects can all be DIY (Do It Yourself) utilizing salvaged materials.
We have a lot of diesel generators in stock for our business and always keep one fully serviced on hand.  We use diesel because if we have to we can run it from our fuel oil tank.  We also stock gasoline units but prefer diesel.  We have a well so it's nice to be able to run the water pump and also to have electric lights. We are giung to talk a lot more in aqnother

A Treated Lumber Foundation For Your Micro Home - A tip from Walt Barrett

Many of you know that I am personally interested in building micro homes due to the all around savings in money, materials, and operating costs.  I am constantly searching for ways to get the costs down so as to make these tiny homes available to all people in spite of their income bracket.  Well I have had suffered three strokes since the first of the year 2011 and do not have enough time anymore to write all the articles that I would like.  So I have solved the problem by finding articles that are already written that I think will fill the bill and provide you with links to those web sites.  I am not taking credit for the articles.  I am simply pointing you to them.   I think that every small home should have a full or raised ranch type basement.  It only makes sense to have a warm place for your utilities so they will not freeze.  It can also provide extra living space if planned properly.  I believe that Treated lumber foundations have been vastly overlooked.  Here is a link that will point you in the right direction.  http://www.doityourself.com/stry/treated-wood-foundations-explained
If you find these articles helpful please comment back to me.  Also, all suggestions are welcome.
Thanks,
Walt

America Is Going Roman by Walt Barrett

If you have ever been without heat in a cold climate then you know that it's no Sunday picnic.   From the look of the world news lately there is an excellent possibility that we are soon going to experience some very high fuel prices and possibly even some fuel shortages by next winter.  That's how things seem to be working out these days.  Personally, I am starting to prepare now.  We are taking steps over the summer season to further increase the efficiency of our new energy efficient home. We are also installing a back up heating system that does not use oil, and designating one of our smaller  rooms to be used as a warm room heated by an alternate heat source, and using our motor vehicles very sparingly.  It saves money while cutting down on fuel consumption.  When consumption goes down, fuel prices go down and that helps everyone.
If we do not pay attention to the impending fuel crisis many people will pay a heavy price. The poor and the elderly are already having problems paying their  fuel bills and taxes while many are losing their homes. What's going to happen to them when their gasoline and fuel oil bills rise above $5000.00 next winter?  This is just the beginning of a major breakdown in our economy. Energy costs and taxes are going to continue to rise sharply.  The number of homeless is going to continue to climb, and the corruption and crime rate is going to be unbearable.  And all the while the politicians continue to play the same old games.
Our country is "Going Roman", and we all know what that means!

The Salt Powered Energy Cell by Walt Barrett

Well we finally figured out how to do it.  We have built a simple energy cell that is powered by salt that we can depend on to run for months and months.  It is totally refuel able in the field and it is also recyclable.  The best part about it is that it runs round the clock.
These units are manufactured in Rhode Island, USA

Video here  The Salt Powered Energy Cell by Walt Barrett

Here are more technical details for those who are interested, and there a photos too.  If the energy cell looks like an aspirin bottle, that's because it is an aspiring bottle which is the least expensive container that we could purchase in the USA and save us a bundle in production costs.  It just doesn't have the troublesome safety cap.
The top comes of in a half turn allowing you to change the fuel rod in less than five minutes.   Unlike solar, the Cell produces steady power for days on end at 1.2 volts per cell.  One cell can easily charge 4 AA batteries in parallel.

We have developed our Power Energy Cell after several years researching with various materials that are known to produce electrical power in salt water and other simple solutions.  We had to make literally hundreds of experiments in order to test the many ideas that were bouncing around between us.
Next to performance, the foremost thing in our minds was the cost. The problem is, and always has been that the folks that need our type of device are the people with the least amount of money to spend.
If our Power Cell Unit looks simple, it is because it really is simple.  We built it with an off the shelf container that gets much lower in price with the large quantity purchases we expect to be making in the near future.  The interior parts are more expensive, but they too will come down, and sales go up and we can purchase larger quantities.  There is only one part that will ever wear out in our opinion and that is the fuel rod which is consumed slowly in the process.  It's like the early days of any new product. Lower prices are driven by higher sales.
We have already lit  LED reading lamps for a month, or more, 24 hours a day, with no major signs of deterioration. We have charged batteries of many voltages.  We have found that we can charge 4 AA batteries with one cell simply by charging them in Parallel.  The process may be a little slower, but it works and by charging batteries in parallel we have an effective way of boosting both voltage and current.  If you use your imagination, there are hundreds of possibilities.
Each Power Energy cell put out 1.2 to 1.6 volts depending upon the strength of the electrolytes used.  The fuel rod lasts the longest with salt water fuel and deteriorates more rapidly with many of the other  stronger electrolytes that we have used.  The cells are designed to be clustered together in a fashion that is described in the literature provided with the cell.  You group them in series. Or series parallel to obtain the voltage and amperage needed.  We can supply them already fastened together and configured if necessary.
These units may be used to charge cell phones, camera batteries, radio batteries, electric scooter and car batteries, various military communications and survival equipment, video equipment, and three of these units will run an Led reading lamp directly.  The power cell functions on salt water, urine, most fruit juices, wood ash simply processed in the field, acid, many other chemicals to numerous to mention.  The more powerful chemicals produce more power but deteriorate the fuel rod more quickly.
We are now in production in the USA.  Contact Ordering information here

Walt Barrett Set To Manufacture 12 Volt Salt Water Powered Cells In USA

A to Z Global Marketing Inc announced this morning  11/22/2010 that they will be manufacturing their new 12 volt salt water powered energy cell no later than December 31 2010.  The new cell will produce 12 volts at 800 ma of DC power for 24 hours a day, and does not depend on sunlight, however, the cell must be fueled daily with a very mild dose of salt water.  The cell can light LED reading lights directly and will charge rechargeable batteries. The cell easily lights LED camping lights. Completed cells will be offered, and also home assembly kits for experimenters.  We are rapidly evolving these cells to power electric bicycles and then on to scooters.

Salt Water Power Cell More Data Follow Up Post By Walt Barrett

November 9 2010

Due to the fact that some many people have responded to my post this morning I am doing a follow up now.  My intention was to gauge the interest before going into production.  Frankly speaking, I am overwhelmed. Our company has been engaged in energy research since the 1970′ s   We were always able to make low power electricity, but with recent discoveries that we have made we are now able to supply enough power to run a powerful light directly off the deceptively simple looking power cell that you see in the photo below.  We can supply these units in any voltage needed.  This unit provides a little over 3 volts DC.  It can also charge four AA or AAA batteries easily.  The units will be built here in Rhode Island,  USA utilizing local labor and materials.

One of the most important features of the cell is that there will never be a fuel problem as the cell can run on salt water, urine, filtered residue from wood ash, lemon juice, vinegar, and many other acidic substances.  It is surprisingly versatile.  We have made it very simple and fully field serviceable. It is not a sealed unit. All the parts are easily removed for cleaning etc.  It can be used over and over again for years.  Certain elements may require changing every year but are very inexpensive.    We are continually finding more free fuels for the Power Cell.  It can be purchased as the cell itself, with the output positive and negative leads ready to attach to a charger or light, or it may be purchased  with a light already to attach. We are aiming at a dealer price of $29.95  and as the sales increase we will be able to lower the price through increased manufacturing efficiency, and quantity purchasing of the parts.  The unit will easily pay for itself  because no batteries are necessary to light the light.  The great advantage over solar is that it will run around  the clock.  No sunlight is ever needed.  Another advantage is that our 12 volt models can be used to power laptops, cameras,  special electronic equipment, submersibles, cell phone chargers and a myriad of other useful applications.  We envision this technology powering small vehicles in the very near  future as we expand our customer base.  Anyone interested in being a dealer for this product should contact me as soon as possible. We will need to know how many units you will commit to order.  Our terms are 50% with the order and the balance before shipping. To get the dealer ($29.95) price you must order a minimum of ten units.  My suggestion is to pre-sell them. Contact wbarrett1@aol.com

My Parent's Micro Home by Walt Barrett

I have been writing about micro homes, solar, and energy-efficient homes for 35 years. People never really paid much attention to any of it, and my Internet Blogs have gone virtually unnoticed for years. Recently, however, I have started receiving email from people who have read my articles about solar-powered autonomous micro homes. Many of them are simply looking to down size, which I happen to think is a great idea, unless you have tons of money to save towards your future. The other people who have written to me have no place to call their own at all, and very little money either. All of these people are seeking as much information as possible about building micro homes, and also the support systems needed to make them a comfortable place to reside.
When you build a micro home the savings really add up quickly. First of all, if you are handy enough you may not need a mortgage. That alone is huge! A tiny well insulated home is less expensive to heat and cool, another major savings. Because of the LED lighting systems we have developed, solar lighting is relatively inexpensive. The electricity saved on lighting enables you to downsize the number of solar electric modules needed to power the home. Believe me, this is not rocket science as some people would like you to think. I like to keep things simple.
We will be discussing the down sizing of all the systems required to run a home, and alternate ways to do laundry and store fresh food. Downsizing and green living will definitely leave you with more money in your pockets. We are also going to be discussing how to achieve zero output for all trash and waste products. Not recycling is like burning money. We will discuss all these topics in future articles. Today I am focusing on how my parents micro home. If you don't have a lot of money, it's a great story that should offer you some encouragement to move ahead with your dream.
My intention is to do a new series of articles and films to assist anyone who is really serious about green living, micro home living, and just plain saving money by downsizing their homes, the number of cars they own, and the size of their ever-growing utility bills. I will discuss building your own home, and the various support systems as opposed to buying a completed professionally built home and related support systems. The technology is all available free on the Internet. You should also become expert in salvaging other people's junk. I did it for years when I was a kid. I got my first bike by dump picking in the Pawtucket, RI city dump, and building it from salvaged parts, and I don't care who knows it. When I was in the military, and very poorly paid I used to go to the base landfill where I found all kinds of wooden furniture, building material, and many other items. “A dump is a yard sale where everything is free.”
Many people who write to me are really down, and out, and depressed. I feel terrible about that, and personally, very discouraged that our own government is not doing more about it. Well we have already seen that our government is not really that concerned about our own poor, and is far more interested in meddling in the affairs of other countries. So it is up to those of us who can to help people get started in the right direction, and give them some hope for the future.
This is my way of offering the folks who have written me some needed encouragement. I'm going to tell you a personal story about my parents who had nothing when they were married in 1929, but through hard work, and determination they managed to build a home, and eventually live a happy life.
When my parents were married in 1929 my Dad worked in the receiving room of a very large cotton thread spinning mill. My Mother was a highly skilled secretary, and seamstress, but in those days the wages were terrible, and they were lucky just to have jobs. They managed to buy a small house lot overlooking a lake. It cost $50.00. My Dad managed to pay for it by selling the rest of the lots on our dirt road to other people who were in the same predicament as he was, and that is how we got our land. The next thing they did was to clear only the areas they needed for the house, the yard and the driveway. They left the remaining large trees in place for shade. My Mother, who was very talented in many areas including art, drew up a plan for what we now call a micro home. It was 20 feet wide and 24 feet long with a sleeping loft divided into two bed rooms. The first floor had a large room in one entire half of the first floor that we would now call a living and dining area, The other half of the first floor was mostly the kitchen with a small area that was set aside for a future bathroom. That was basically the house plan.

When the economy got better he got a job working in a commercial laundry running an extractor which is really a very large washing machine. Then he would come home, have his supper, and go dig out the foundation hole for the cellar. When the hole was finally dug by pick, shovel and wheelbarrow the two of them gathered all the loose rocks from all over the lot and walled up the cellar, removing the piers when they were finished and mortaring all the rocks as they built it. That foundation is still perfect to this day. During WWII Dad was too old for the military so he took a job working in a shipyard building liberty ships. He never made so much money in his entire life. After the war he took a job doing the maintenance for all of the public libraries in the city of Providence and remained there until his death in 1974. He was sixty-nine. Mom was 91 when she died in 1998.
I have made a video to go with this article to show you what is possible through hard work, perseverance, salvage, and a great deal of saving, and scrounging for materials including stone and timber gathered right off your own land. We always had a large garden, and chickens, ducks, rabbits and fruit trees. It all adds up at the end of the year. In future articles I will discuss building your micro home from virtually free and inexpensive building materials extracted from your own land, and don't ever let anyone steal your dreams!
I hope you enjoy the video. It's a true story.
Thanks,
Walt Barrett

Building a composting toilet with a urine separator by Walt Barrett

Composting Toilet by Walt Barrett
I promised that I would write an article about the composting toilets that we build, so here it is. It includes my idea of a sliding adjustable urine separator.
The customers that we have using this toilet are very happy with it.
One of the main killers in the world is contaminated drinking water. In third world counties people can be very careless about where they dispose of their fecal matter. The sad results are disease followed by death usually from Cholera! This is because the runoff from this human waste is polluting the streams, rivers and lakes in those countries. We don't need fancy units to solve this problem. All we need is to convince people to properly dispose of their own waste in a composter protected from the rain to prevent runoff. You would think that at least in the last 5000 years the could have learned that.
Well this is our version of the composting toilet for the off grid home so that you can have the indoor convenience and a safe, economical disposal method for human waste.

Please read this and don't skip any steps or you will ruin the project.
It's tricky in a couple of spots to get the unit in square.
This is a relatively simple unit to build and I am just going to take you through all the steps right now. My son John and I sketched out the design we had been discussing for a practical composting toilet, and figured out the dimensions that we needed to fit the actual standard toilet seat and make room below for the two plastic collection bins and the vent stack. We also wanted to build as many units as possible from a single sheet of decent quality 3/4 inch plywood. While at the Home depot we had a 4' x 8' sheet of plywood ripped into three long pieces approximately 16” wide each. Those cuts must be exact so all three lengths have the same width. Home Depot or Lowe's will use a panel cutting saw which will make perfect cuts if the sheet is measured correctly. Note that due to the width of the saw blade the width will be slightly under 16” . You can compensate for this on assembly by assembling the pieces so that the box is slightly narrower than 16”
Next we cut two 16” wide X 16 inches high for the two (2) end pieces.
That leaves the two sides, the bottom, and the top. Now this is where you have to be careful. Look carefully at the construction of the box in the photos. We cut the two side pieces 22 inches x 16 inches high. That left the top and the bottom pieces which we cut
23 ½ ” inches long. Now we have all the pieces and that leaves us to position the store bought toilet seat and trace the hole in the top cover. I use the larger and better oval type toilet seat that fits the better quality toilets that you find in better homes and all commercial applications. They are much more comfortable for adults. I then drill a 3/8” hole for the saber saw, and cut out the hole in the top of the box. Make sure the hole is back far enough to accommodate the urine collector drain bin.
Now let's stop right here for a minute and make a cutting schedule.
All pieces are ripped 16 inches wide. It allows you to get the most toilets from one sheet of ¾ inch plywood. So here is the schedule. ” = inches.
2 End Pieces 16” x 16”
2 Side pieces 22” x 16”
1 Bottom piece 23 ½” x 16”
1 Top piece 23 ½” x 16”
At this point it is best to sand, and clean all the pieces off with paint thinner. Because if you are going to stain your unit like we do here. You must stain before you start using the wood glue. If you don't stain first, wherever you get glue on the wood the stain will not take and it looks terrible.
After the stain is thoroughly dry I use a couple of brads on each end and lightly tack the four sides together while just sitting on the bottom piece just to check for fit, and using a large metal square I make sure it will square up in three directions. You could also measure diagonally from corner to corner for equal dimensions in two directions. Then set the top on Just to make sure it fits squarely.
Once you are satisfied with all of the workmanship and the fit of all the pieces, it's time for the permanent assembly. This is how we do it.
  1. Set the four sides that are lightly tacked together on your flat work bench surface.
  2. Remove one of the ends that you have tacked on and tap the finish nails that were holding it back away so that you can hammer them in again easily.
  3. Then run a thin bead of quality carpenters glue down just off center favoring the interior of the box. Do not use too much glue as it will squash out all over your finish. Thats why you always favor the inside edge. You cannot stain over excess glue blotches.
  4. Now careful pet the end cap back in place and nail it securely with six long finish nails on either side.
  5. Repeat the process on the opposite end.
  6. Next you run a bead of glue around the rim where the bottom of the box will be nailed.
  7. Set the bottom on and while someone helps to hold the box square you nail on the bottom using long finish nails about every four inches. It is very helpful if you nail a couple of cletes to hold the corners square while you nail your box together. Corner cletes on either end will also hold your box square while the glue is drying. If you have clamps, use them too get a tighter glue joint. You can also take a length of rope and wrap it around the box , make a loose knot, insert a length of stick and twist the rope until you get several pounds of pressure on your joints.
  8. Be sure to wash off any glue that squeezes out of the joints immediately.
That leaves us with the top which never gets fastened down because it has to lift on and off to remove both of the bins for cleaning etc. the lid is kept from sliding around by use four pieces of aluminum angle tacked inner the rim on the center of each side to provide a snug fit to the box. That way the lid is easily removed for cleaning purposes. See the photos for the aluminum pieces.
Now you have built a regular composting toilet without a urine separator. We got our plastic collection bins from Walmart. We purchased a smaller fairly deep bin for the urine collector. We got the fittings and clear plastic ½ inside diameter inch drain hose, and clamps from the plumbing department at the home depot. The drain hole goes out the side of the bin and box as high up as you can get it without kinking the hose and still get a good gravity feed to your exterior collection system. The brackets are made from the flat perforated metal plated to buy at the home depot that are use for building decks and joining pierces together for various construction projects. I bent then to the shape I wanted using my bench vise and a rubber mallet. Be careful for sharp metal edges! If you want a vent stack you can put it in one of the rear top corners or elbow out of one of the rear sides, or end. It the best way to go and add a solar vent fan too.
This is a pretty good project for a beginner, but believe me, Manufactured units go from $800.00 to $2,500.00 dollars, and thats a lot of money for a person on a budget. This unit will work just as well. Just keep a spray bottle around with a little bleach and water in it to freshen up the urine catcher after each use. You can cover the fecal matter after each use with any kind of dries vegetable matter, like saw dust, Pete moss. Dried leaves, dried grass etc. Just don't get bleach water in the composting material.
You can empty the compost into a barrel with a watertight lid on it. If you are going to introduce earthworms to the compost you have to keep it moist without drowning the worms.
Be sure to make provisions fore the composter to drain excess fluids into more compost beneath it. Never compost anything near your water supply. Keep the composter as far away from you well as possible. After a couple of years the compost will turn int rich black soil. Throw all of your table scraps into the outdoor composter too.
Well, I think I covered everything. If I didn't, I'm counting on you all to let me know.

The A to Z Global Marketing Salt Water Powered Energy Cell by Walt Barrett

I had to make a video this morning from rather poor quality cell phone videos because that's all I had to work with.  With the edition of the added voice over I believe the video will suffice for now.  The video is a short announcement about our Power Energy Cell that we have been researching and working on now for quite some time.   The Cell runs on salt water, Urine, Battery Chem, and several other inexpensive chemical formulas.  Certain fuels produce more power than others.  We are ready to patent and go into mass production but will require additional funds  as the patents alone for international protection are very expensive.  It won't be that long before you will be driving a scooter or electric car powered by this product.  It is really a system of making electricity and storing it in a battery.  The Power cell was developed by Mike Winchell and Walt Barrett.

Building with adobe size blocks made from recycled news paper by Walt Barrett

I am tinkering with an idea to build adobe style building blocks made from home made glue dampened newspaper and compressed into a mold.  The newspaper would not be shredded in order to save labor and energy.  The mold would be made the size of the normal size section of newspaper folded in half.   For small buildings, pressure might not be necessary.  Some simple load testing will have to be performed.  The biggest problem I see is coming up with an inexpensive glue formula that mixes with water.  The exterior walls of the building will have to be painted or sided to protect them from water damage.  The bottom row blocks will have to be thoroughly sealed to prevent wicking of ground water, or moisture.  More time and and research will be devoted to the water proofing aspects.  Of course, real adobe has very little built in moisture protection.  Perhaps we can develop an inexpensive water resistant glue.  My main concern is the cost of glue in the third world especially.  These blocks will be considerably lighter than adobe or concrete. We are open to any inexpensive home made glue formula ideas.
Thanks,
Walt

Build Your Own Metal Air Fuel Cell With An Educational Kit by Walt Barrett

For several years now we have been experimenting with a couple of types of metal air fuel cells.  Once a person learns the principals of these units by kit building it is quite simple to scale up these educational projects to a more useful size that can be used to run reading lamps, charge computer batteries, run radios, and even run small water pumps and electric bikes.  These cells can be built utilizing scrap metal, and off the shelf inexpensive plastic parts.  They will run on several different types of electrolytes that are mostly water and produce power for weeks at a time if maintained properly.  They do not use any hydrocarbon fuels, or alcohol, and will even run on our salt water formula which is calibrated for maximum life of the cells. A testing meter is included with each kit.  We can provide kits for several sizes.
The proceeds from these kit sales will be used to start a full scale manufacturing operation for these fuel cells in the USA.  Also a portion of the profits will be donated to Kiva.org who makes small business loans to the poor of the world including the USA.

You Can Own A Virtual Tractor Dealership by Walt Barrett

Virtual Tractor Dealership Program

If you need extra income this is a great business that you can run from your home computer with no investment at all. We have made a very good living by selling diesel farm tractors on the Internet. Our most popular tractor package is a 25 horsepower 4 wheel drive farm tractor with a front loader and a backhoe included for only $10,995.00 delivered to most cities. Some remote areas may be a little more for delivery. If you are interested in spending one, or two hours a week I will set you up with your own virtual tractor dealership. We will supply you with all the photos, videos, prices and delivery structure including us handling all of the shipping and customs paper work. All you really have to do is to help us get sales leads, and we will even close the sale for you. Our best sellers are our tractor, loader and backhoe packages with the lowest prices on the Internet in the USA. You get the leads by placing free ads in your local Craig's List weekly, and any other classifieds that you can post to free. If you have a web page you should post there too. A to Z Global To Build Low Voltage Power Supplies by Walt Barrett

We have been experimenting for many years now with various ways to produce virtually free electricity. So far we have mostly produced low voltage, low amperage devices that do actually produce power. Now, with the advent of low voltage lighting, communication devices, video and still cameras, and instrumentation devices, we have decided to produce a more finished and salable product line that will easily power these products. The above will be accomplished by several methods that we have developed. This technology will be particularly helpful in the third world where people cannot afford to even purchase batteries. The technology is far less expensive than manufacturing solar cells which only work in sunlight. We are now moving towards charging small electric vehicles, and running home water pumps with a larger scale unit. Our company also has successfully produced chemicals for over 25 years to tune up and recondition sulfated lead acid batteries. It is now being sold world wide under the names Battery Chem, and China Depot Products. www.batterychem.us

We are also the largest seller of Terra Cyclone tractors in the world. For more information you may contact company President Walter H. Barrett email to: wbarrett1@aol.com

The Sleeping Giant Of Green Businesses by Walt Barrett

You know, My education in the proper care and maintenance of lead acid batteries began nearly 60 years years ago when I was in Flight Engineering School in the USAF during the Korean War. Prior to that I had worked in various auto repair shops as a part time mechanic. So I guess it's only natural that I always had a great interest in the care of batteries, especially when you are flying in a B-29 bomber, and your life could depend on restarting an engine, or some in other in flight power emergency. You can't just call a tow truck for a boost, and those old engines on the B-29 could be pretty cranky at times! So combining that training, and a love for chemistry, I started restoring sulfated automobile and truck batteries about twenty-five years ago. It always was a great little business, and I always made good money at it. I had developed a formula mixed from a combination of dry chemicals, and if a battery passes a group of basic tests that I leaned many years ago, then it has a 75% chance of coming back and being fully serviceable again. Fifteen years ago I took the money I made from doing batteries, and started an Internet company. Then one day it struck me that I could take my battery reconditioning chemicals global. Well about that time the Green Movement was starting to take hold and the business began to steadily grow. During the past year the sales have grown astronomically to the point where we sell more product in one day that we used to sell in a year.
Over the years we discovered that there is a huge market to restore electric fork lift batteries. Fork lift batteries are seriously abused by careless employees and out program includes sending out field service technicians. At over six thousand dollars a battery, and sometimes double that, these services are in serious demand.
In light of this huge explosion of business we have decided to offer partial or complete equipment packages to our many customers. We now offer some serious heavy duty professional equipment at our usual very reasonable prices.
Let us offer you 100% free training through our video instruction, and our free training manual. This field is exploding, and if you need a business, or just some serious part time income, you should contact me right away. You will even learn how to do sealed batteries. Walt Barrett President, wbarrett1@aol.com
Please take a minute to review this top notch equipment pictured above (click able), that is available from me through my company. I hope that you will at least try my secret battery formula. Kits start at only $13.95 enough to do two batteries. We include a complete marketing plan in our free training manual, and we provide full technical support 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday EST.
WE NEVER CHARGE FOR TRAINING OR MANUALS
Thanks,
Walt

Composting Toilets Saving Home Builders A Fortune by Walt Barrett

Composting Toilets Saving Home Builders A Fortune by Walt Barrett

A recent surge in orders for our low cost $225.00 composting toilets is linked directly to the huge savings discovered by our clients due to the fact that they can save thousands of dollars by not having to build a septic system to dispose of human waste products or gray water. The system includes a Urine Separator and vent stack flange to control odors. This is very important When combined with our simple Gray Water disposal system the gray and black waste water output is zero. This system has a huge appeal to micro home builders and trailer and motor home dwellers too. These systems are made in the USA by local American Craftsmen. A to Z Global also builds Solar Water Pumping Systems, off the power grid Micro Homes, Steel shipping container homes, and Solar Lighting and Power Systems. Say goodbye to the utility companies forever!

Our Green Business Projects for 2009-2010 by Walt Barrett

We have actually been involved in Green Business activities since the early nineteen seventies when we started building solar heating systems and water source heat pumps. We also started manufacturing battery restoration chemicals over 25 years ago. Our battery business is a highly successful business world wide, and is a stand alone business all by itself.
We are are still selling those items and have added several more over the years. We are currently selling the latest solar heating and hot water equipment, water source heat pumps, solar electric systems, solar water pumping systems, wing turbines, hydro turbines, Electric cars and scooters.
In 2009 we began manufacturing solar powered micro homes that operate totally off the power grid. These homes include our own manufactured composting toilets, grey water systems, LED lighting systems 12 volt DC and 120 volt AC, and all of the other related systems required to live in such a home. Due to the terrible situation in our economy right now, sales of these items have been slow compared to our tractor and farm equipment sales etc. Although tractors and related equipment are a relatively expensive item we are selling more than ever. We also have a very successful business selling parts for all Chinese Tractors and generators. We feel that in order to lend credibility to selling Chinese tractors and equipment that it is imperative that we demonstrate a reliable source for repair parts for all Chinese products.
We also have a division in India that is well established and growing steadily.
Another division of ours that is doing quite well is our film division. We have been producing our own Internet video commercials since the late nineteen nineties. We are also producing DIY films for our customers and are now moving into full length entertainment films for the Internet.
We also recently started a new division in China selling server space to Internet businesses.
All things considered, the Internet has been very good to us, and we expect that in spite of the terrible economy, we will continue to grow steadily.
We finished up 2009 with a profit, zero debt and money in the bank. We will continue to put forth new ideas and inventions in the years to come. Look for a lot more interesting video from us this year. Many of them will be free. Our business is really to put you in business.
Thank you for your business!

Free Green Business Training by Walt Barrett

Free Training

This is the most recent posting for free training at www.waltbarrett.com where there are videos too.

A lesson in recycling.

Well over a month ago a man brought me two giant electric forklift batteries valued at $6800.00 each and asked me if I could restore them. I had him leave them at my inventors workshop, and I performed several tests on them determining that they were badly sulfated due to sitting several years in a warehouse unattended. We added our special formula chemical and put them on a very long slow charging cycle for nearly two weeks. The long story short is that the man called me several days ago and told me the batteries were performing perfectly. We had charged him $300.00 for our time and chemicals to do such large batteries. We saved him $13,300.00 in replacement costs. Now this week he has delivered another large forklift battery for our restoration process.
If you would like to receive free training in our process you can start by watching the free videos on this page. http://www.chinadepot.com/batripod.html

Floating vegetable garden research by Walt Barrett

I’m doing a flash research project to get up to speed on building floating vegetable gardens and their productivity. It seems the process is thousands of years old but forgotten in many parts of the world, yet widely used in South East Asia. I am finding that by using recycled materials like used water bottles, along with other salvaged materials it is possible to develop some very large gardens and I intend to develop the process.

The technology is simple and eliminates the need for irrigation totally. Floating gardens also cut up to two months off the growing cycle of many vegetables. The best data I have found so far is under “Floating Gardens” on a www.youtube.com search search. We need to spread this technology to those that do not have it already. The project can actually be zero cost except for the seeds. It just requires a little ingenuity.

Assisting the Third World “Guerrilla Technology” by Walt Barrett

Assisting the Third World “Guerrilla Technology” ”The concept is to train one person, one family , one village at a time, whatever it takes to make conditions better.” – Walt Barrett

We have had a great year this year so far, and people are starting to notice Accomplishments in the task of helping the poor third world people. We have representatives of a group from Haiti visiting today.
1. They have already purchased a solar lighting system that they intend to distribute in Haiti.
2. They will view our completed micro home.
3. They will view our Steam Pump project.
4. They will view our prototype solar steam generator.
5. They will view our Solar/Electric water pumping that we have been selling for years.
6. I will show them my experimental bamboo research program.
I will discuss my program with them for Haiti which I have dubbed “Guerrilla Technology” The concept is to train one person, one family , one village at a time, whatever it takes to make conditions better. Each person we train is expected to pass it forward and keep training others in the technology we have developed to make things better. I will continue to put my mind to the task of developing new products and ideas for the third world.
Things are shaping up quickly now as I have devoted more time and money to the program.
I’ll keep you posted.
Walt
